電車好きの長男のために実家の両親、夫婦、当時4歳と2歳の息子の6人で東京旅行で向かった先の一つでした。
住んでいるところは愛知県なので、新幹線もn700系のみ、電車もJRもしくは名鉄の電車のみだったので、東京に行ってはやぶさやこまち、かがやきなどいろいろな電車を見せてあげたいと思い計画しました。その中で京王レールランドが出てきていろいろな体験をさせてあげられるんではないかと思い目的地の一つにしました。
初日に行ったのですが、まず入るところから改札になっていて子供心をくすぐります。テンションが上がって中に入ると最初は何故かバスの展示です。でも乗り物自体も好きだった息子はテンションが上がって遊びますとなかなか出てきませんでした。
まだまだあるよと誘って次の場所へ、運転体験の場所があったのですが、後から後悔したのですが、こちらは有料ということもあり一人では難しいと判断して次の場所へ。
次はいろいろな制服を着て写真が撮れるスポットです。まず学校から入る息子たちは早速着て写真を撮りました。とてもいい笑顔でよく見返してはまた行きたいなと言っています。
次は車掌体験ができる左車両が置いてあります。今は8歳になった息子も車掌ごっこをしてマネをしているのですが、その当時はどんな物があるのか興味を示すのみで終わってしまいました。
そして、2階に移動し電車目線で作られたアスレチックとプラレールで遊べるスペースがありました。しかし、当時はコロナ前ということもありかなり人がいたのでここで遊ぶのも断念！
また一回に戻り、無料体験できる小型の運転シュミレーターを並んで3回くらい体験しました。真剣な顔でやっていた息子たちの顔を何枚も写真に撮ったのを覚えています。
そして、一旦たくさんの電車が展示してある外に行きました。そこではミニ電車に乗ることができました。
そんなに広い施設ではありませんが、電車が大好きな子にはもってこいの場所です。
お出かけする際の注意点
施設内は食事場所がないのでお弁当はお弁当を持って行ったほうがいいと思います。
