小田原城内に位置し、施設としてはこじんまりとしています。他の観光スポットを回るついでに行っても、所要時間は約20分ほどで済むため、ありがたいです。大人や子供の料金も手頃ですが、忍者になりきって体験できる施設なので、満足感があります。
バーチャルで手裏剣を投げたり、水面を歩く体験も楽しめます。また、抜き足で家の中に忍び込む体験などは本格的です。音を立ててしまうと、襖の中から「曲者！！」と声が聞こえ、刀を抜く音が響きます。岩壁になりきる忍術や、家の中に隠されたキーワードを見つけてもぐり込む術も身につけます。
小学校中学年ぐらいまでの子供たちは楽しめますが、それ以降になると、もっとやってみたいのにあっという間に終わってしまった感じが否めません。また、幼い子には隠されたキーワードの意味が理解できないため、少し難しいと感じるかもしれません。
館内には人数制限が設けられており、一方通行でしか体験できないため、あの体験をもっとやりたい！もう一度やりたい！ということはできません。一度体験したら退場しなければならず、再入場はできませんので、それは残念です。
そのため、イヤイヤ期のお子さんと一緒に入るには、ルールを守るのが難しそうなので、もう少し話が理解できるようになってからが良さそうです。楽しみながらルールを守ることを学ぶ機会にもなります。
小田原城内の忍者体験は、時間的にも手ごろで興味深いです。ファミリーで訪れる際には、他の観光スポットと組み合わせることで一日中楽しむことができます。ぜひ、忍者の世界に身を置いてみてください。
お出かけする際の注意点
