２歳の電車や新幹線が大好きな息子を連れて家族で出掛けました。
団体の見学も多い施設ですが、幸い来館した日には保育園の団体が数組いただけで混雑もしていませんでした。雨の日には、屋外の社会科見学から切り替えて、こちらに来館する団体もあるそうです。
息子は、まだ電車の展示をきちんと見られる年齢ではありませんが、初めて間近で見る新幹線に大興奮！
また、ミニ新幹線の乗車体験もとても気に入ったようで、2度乗りました。
ジオラマや運転手シミュレーションなども人気のようなので、もう少し大きくなったら、またあらためて連れていってあげたいと思います。
他には、屋外に簡単な遊具もあり、コロナ禍でも密を避ける遊び方もできます。
また、外に出ると高台から、大宮駅近くを走る実際の新幹線を見ることができるのも楽しみのひとつです。
こまちやはやぶさなど、図鑑でしか見たことのない新幹線の速さを初めて体感し、釘付けになっていました。
さらに、楽しんでいたのがランチの時間。
お天気も良かったため、お弁当を館内で購入し、デッキに出て食べることにしました。
大人向けの駅弁だけでなく、子ども向けに、新幹線や機関車の形のお弁当箱に入ったものもあり、息子は大喜び！
三時間半ほど楽しんだ後に、お土産やさんで鉄道グッズを購入し、家族揃って大満足の1日になりました。
お出かけする際の注意点
チケットは、事前購入制です。
また、アトラクションによっても事前予約が必要です。
