入り口に大きい魚の池があり、かなり間近で魚を観察することができます。
餌を購入すれば餌やりも可能で、勢いよく食いついてくるコイやソウギョは一見の価値ありです。
うちの子は魚に興味を持ち始めたところだったので、近場の水族館ということで訪れましたが、自分よりも大きい魚たちを見て大はしゃぎでした。
特別展では色々な金魚の展示をしていて、生体だけでなく飼育道具の歴史などかなり凝った部分も見ることができました。
金魚だけでなくグッピーやウーパールーパーなども可愛かったです。
館内の常設展示では、身近な川の生き物だけでなく海外の大きな魚も多く飼育されていてかなり見応えがあります。
希少種であるミヤコタナゴやムサシトミヨも見ることができて、大きな海辺の水族館とはまた違った魅力がありました。
コロナの関係で、訪れた時は閉鎖されていましたが、ふれあいコーナーもあったので再開した時にはまた行きたいと思っています。
小さな施設なので、2歳の子どもの足でも十分歩ききる事ができ、本人も満足したようです。
朝に行って外の池もがっつり楽しみお昼前には出てくる事ができたので、お昼を食べて帰る車の中でお昼寝、という日常の生活リズムをあまり崩さずに遊びに行けたのも良かったです。
屋外に大きな屋根のある広場があったので、当日は雨でしたが濡れずに食事もできました。
お出かけする際の注意点
駐車場まで少し距離があるので、雨の日などは雨具必須です。
晴れていれば屋外に遊具もあるようなので遊べると思います。
